Glowing

Feels reeeeally good to wear maxis again. It's been too long (excuse the pun).

Leather jacket: Zara. Knit jumper: Thrift/2nd hand (found a close 2nd and bonus that it's mens). Skirt: Alice & Olivia (found one by Ella Moss). Cut out buckle boots: ASOS (runs 1 size big). Satchel: Cambridge Satchel Company. Shades: Ray Ban

These pictures were taken around Grand Central, my old stomping ground for work. I spent many a lunch hour sitting outside on steps while watching men and women in suits walking by. I used to be lost in thoughts.  Thank you for the heart felt comments on my below video. One in particular got me a bit welled up (I won't say which one it was).  Really glad I got to speak to everyone more directly.  It felt really good. I'll make a point to speak more on the blog this year.

Back to the present.  I rarely wear blue but this thrifted teal wool jumper goes well with winter greys - my thought when I first clapped eyes on it.  Speaking of which, the skirt truly is floor sweeping (I rolled it up at the waist).   You can't tell properly in my pictures but the cut outs on these boots makes for endless coloured sock/boot colour combinations. I'm wearing them here black on black.

As for this satchel.  You saw me wear it before in the summer. Let me tell you: It really is this bright in real life.

  32. ahhh Karen I got that bag in a cheaper version via Nasty Gal, I've been wanting the Cambridge but I couldn't afford it so it's a great alternative - I've been coveting it since your first post!

  33. Neijah Lanae - do it!

Anon - no pockets!! I'm cool without it on a knife pleat skirt : )

Teresa - the grey colour is really practical and makes the pleats stand out more! I have a link under the pics to an alternative I saw online that looks pretty good too.

  37. Love this outfit and especially loving the shoes. I immediately went to buy them, as I can't afford the real deal Balenciaga pair, and they were already pretty much sold out... sigh. I'll have to keep an eye out since those are the best knock off I've seen so far.
