edged romantic

Dress/necklace/turquoise ring: Vintage. Heels: Prada (posted them before here).  Found a similar 70s vibe version in tan here with pics of them on here).Shawl: seen before here. (This is a close one). Bag: Vintage Coach (got mine on eBay). Army jkt: Zara. Nails: Topshop. Shades: Ray Ban

Doing a bit of 70s boho romance a few days back.   I experiment a ton on the blog. Everything's about the mood I'm in but this feels the most me. A bit rock. A bit vintage.  Always full circle back to those two words.

Thank you Grazia.it - click here for a feature with me wearing this look (you'll need Google Translate unless you speak Italian in which case you lucky b*stard -  I'm jealz).

ps. I had my hair blown out that day at Pimps and Pinups in the Lower East Side.  I think I've found a # 2 go to spot when my usual place is busy. Super sweet and loads of advice. Thx guys : - )

pps. Who's watching the Royal Wedding on Friday? It's non stop talk on the TV in New York. I'll set my alarm...I hear it's a day off in England. I should be back home right now.

black. white. camel.

Magic Polo shirt: Uniqlo.  Leather blazer: All Saints. Boots (in tan colour): Sam Edelman (1/2 size down fits perfect).  Hat: Asos. Shades: Ray Ban.  Skirt: Urban Outfitters (clearance sale last year). Bag: Balenciaga

This is the other polo shirt with magic powers I told you about the other day (supposed to keep you dry when it's hot).  Worn a few days ago.  I'm going to hack off the sleeves to get the 'prep' out of it and do a before and after.

The hybrid cowboy/fringe/moccasin esq boots are no surprise. They came. I love - and I want the black!!

creeps

Grey sweater: Men's H&M. Leggings: American Apparel.  Shades: Ray Ban (gold rims are on the site too).  Skull & bone necklace: Britannia Antiques @ Bk flea (similar one here in black or silver by PL).  Large stone 'Immortals' ring (love this silver one). Creepers: Trash & Vaudeville (plain ones online here - they have loads of diff ones).  Jacket: Mens Vintage (this one works). A lot of their jkts are on 50% sale). Nails: Topshop. Hat: Makins. Satchel: Cambridge Satchel (mine is 13"). (how sick is the yellow)

Had lunch around Gramercy on the weekend and wore a men's sweater found on clearance with leggings and creepers.  I've decided to die these ones all black like this but couldn't find in my size at the time. I'll keep these above as the two tones.

Creepers remind me of East London punk.  So classic. I'm sure NY women giving me the feet death stare on the street/train/in shops are all thinking wtf.  Brilliant.

I want to find a skinny suit NOW to wear with them.

printed

Vintage Kaftan: Saraz Closet (at the BK flea market but they have a website). I found this one or this for a similar feel. Dress: H&M. Bag: Nicole Miller messenger (love the pebbled leather). Hat: ASOS. Similar hats here and here.   Shades: Ray Ban. Nails: Topshop.  Turquoise ring: Britannia Antiques @ BK flea market. Snake skin boots: Vintage  (LOVE these boots in washed black or  Fryes would've worked). Bronze gazelle ring: LAS ('LASPRING' = 30% off)

Found this vintage kaftan cardi thingy at the Brooklyn flea. Looooove it.  It's sheer, ultra long and long sleeves - basically everything I look for come summer.

I wore it with a short wool dress since it's still in between weather.  Definitely on heavy rotation when it's hotter.

pinky

Polo shirt with magic powers: Uniqlo.  Cropped jeans & belt: Zara. Similar belt online here or jeans here and here if you don't have a Zara in your area (they have a few other brand colours on the site). Satchel: Cambridge Satchel Company (13" size) -  love the yellow and red too.  Shades: Ray Ban. Tourquoise ring: Britannina Antiques @ Brooklyn Flea MarketPink watch: The Outnet

I went back to the classics and got a couple of Uniqlo polo shirts and thought how the heck should I wear the pink one?  Answer: I'll colour block the hell out of it.  I wore it with heels when going out eat out that evening. (You remember the last time I posted the heels with woollies).

The blurb on the shirt tag says it's got UV filters in it and keeps you dry from perspiring.  Hmmmm  -  probably a good thing;  under arm colour block circles caused by perspiring isn't such a good look.

Soon as it STAYS warm though I swear I don't want to wear black ever again. That's not going to happen of course but you get the point: COLOUR COLOUR COLOUR
