Sachin + Babi - Spring Summer 2012

70's disco just got seriously updated.

Silk and leather blouse

Oatmeal, gold, tangerine and canary yellows

Tangerine was used for jolts of colour throughout. These shorts would be killer with a navy blouse and flats

Navy & charcoal silk and lurex maxi dress with a top that billows and a peek a boo slit back

Classic separates updated in fabrics normally associated with after dark

Monochrome T-shirt blouse with white leather paillettes

The always classic white shirt

Sleeveless black and white dress with perforated leather skirt.  While taking this picture, I imagined wearing this with pointy flats and a messy top knot to show off the row of buttons that ran down the back

To be honest I don't know a lot about Sachin & Babi.  I had paused to view their collections on sites like Shopbop but that was about it.  With zero purchase history and a self confessed 'let's see what their clothes are like in real life' curiosity, I accepted their invitation to view their S/S 2012 collection.

Let's put it this way.  That gold lurex maxi in pic 1 greeted me at their entrance.  You lot already know how about feel about maxis.....

The feel in the room was 70's glam revisted in textures, neon flashes & lurex got upgraded to make it seductive (I'd take all of pic 7 & 8 - hangers included since I've run out of those). 

The mixing of night fabrics into day and vice versa is what I'm all about. I don't need to tell you how I feel about wearing glitz during the day. 

I did touch that gold maxi on the way out...
