I wanted to do a similar thing this July also…but then my love’s parents REALLY wanted a “celebration”.
We both are painfully shy people, so at the event I was so overwhelmed at seeing so many people look at me my head was spinning.
But it turned out fine. As I told my mother-in-law: “Ok at my next wedding it’ll be only the 2 of us.”…..Thank god she took it with good humour but, i think i made the point that we really arranged all the “gatherings” to please her.
