Oversized shirts work wonders. Especially in making a body con dress instantly more casual and you feel less like 'I'm wearing a tight dress and I hope no one's staring at my ass.' Apart from being the stylishly 'oh I just threw this old thing on' perfect layer piece, big shirts are also the security blanket for grown ups.
I stopped Marybeth to ask her about hers which is from American Apparel. She's reminded me about flinging one of my loose shirts over a short dress.
Marybeth - did you finally end up getting the black versions of the boots we have?
Sam Edelman boots or these if you prefer plainer versions
LeSportsac bag
Obey Mason, GAP or Hydrogen denim shirt
T by Alexander Wang dress

Karen, more more more! Love that you take the effort to scope the city out and report back to your readers...I can definitely see this going into a very "Sartorialist" direction for you, but even better!! Especially when we want to know...where did she get that?? Brilliant!
