monochrome

Jumper: Street vendor: Thermals (not seen). Tights: Primark. Boots: Courtesy of Aldo. Clutch: Balenciaga (discontinued style). Rings: YSL/gift/Fashionology. Fedora: Trash & Vaudeville

Dressed in black and white today to meet friends.
I found this jumper (sweater for US) at a street market on Houston in the city. The label on it was $750 and the seller sold it for $30 (wtf!?!). These Aldos remind me of the ones by Zara posted here but I like the high heel hiker look. I noticed Vogue.com has them on their shopping list too here.
I'm trying to make an effort to start using day clutches more so here goes. Makes a change from a bag when you don't have much.

cherry with heel attached

Striped top: H&M. Hooded cardi: Yessstyle.com. Fedora: Trash and Vaudeville. Boots: Jeffrey Campbell @ LF. You can get them on---> Solestruck (runs true to size). Bag: LF. Rings: Street Vendor & Erin Wasson (Shopbop).

Ok so here's the red JC clogs I wore heading to LF to try on the Litas - that post is here.
Same outfit. Different boots. But both comfy.
I wore these reds all day at work with my flats under my desk - I didn't need them. These are sort of like heeled Doc Martens but with wood.
Please note if purchasing, wearing said boots attracts comments which I believe is due to the cherry red pop factor. Nice little colour flash.

ps. Thanks Jeffrey Campbell for this mention!

She reminds me so much of myself.

imperfect

Beaded sheer dress: Zara (clearance). Boots: YSL Men. Necklace: African shop. Stone rings: Street vendors. Claw ring: Fashionology
These boots are my fave animal print item. Ever. You probably remember the shots of them taken here.
As for the dress, I found it with beads falling and the neck ripped open.
Imperfections. I love em.

Some old. Some new. (A few shown above that you've not seen me wear before are courtesy of Aldo).
Time to switch out the shoe porn with this one posted currently on my side bar.
Stuff not shown here but I know I'll wear include these, these and these lace ups.

reverse it

Jumper & Scarf: H&M. Tights: Topshop. Boots: Doc Martens (shop in Camden, London). Fringe bag: Thrift. Metal purse necklace: African shop (purchased last year).Rings: YSL, random street vendors
Took a drive today up to the Palisades, stopping off along the way to grab lunch.
Usually Oliver stays at home but we figured if he can do Woodstock in the summer he can definitely do this.
I've started un-earthing my jumpers (US translation: sweaters). The up/down of the hem sold it when I bought this one early this year. Remember when I wore it the other way with zebra skinnies here? This time I wore it with the tall DMs and this wide scarf (best buy of the month outside of the Litas).
Two older ladies earlier today: "oooo that's a beautiful shawl." "Thanks" I replied, "it's reversible too - look" I lifted my arm exposing the other colour underneath. "Ahhhhhhh" they responded in unison.
Ah bless. They made me smile.

the same but different

Boots: Forever21
Found these gems not too long ago. The wood stacks have the feel of these ACNE's but for less moola. Same with the black studded a la Chloe Susan. Gets the look without jeopardizing rent.
You lot know I LOVE these All Saints to death but these two work for the switch.
And yes, they are actually comfortable and look better the more you wear them. Like your fave boots should really.

what next?

***
I was just going through some old pics and came across the outtakes from making my blog header. (Think I wore the union jack leggings last time here)?
I'm already thinking of what I should do next. I've had two other blog header pics before. Not sure if any of you remember them...
Any thoughts on something new? I usually mull over concepts for weeks. Occasionally though it'll just hit me like a lightening bolt.

Let me know....I'm taking suggestions.

gee wa walker

Dress: Urban Outfitters (clearance). Crochet jumper: Housing Works. Fedora: Trash & Vaudeville. Boots: Solestruck. Rings: F21, street vendors, gift. long necklace: Foley & Corinna. Short necklace: Beacons Closet. Bag: Thrift (DIY studded)
On one of the last warm Sundays I wore the Gee Wa Wa's. Side note: I have really cold feet so wearing boots when temperatures rise is normal.
The dress was first posted here and you already know the crochet jumper (sweater). I layered both and met friends for a long brunch. Those warm days are over. Expect jacket and coat posts only from now on.
These and the JC Litas are the two 'omg wtf is she wearing on her feet' expression inducers. Brilliant.
