the navajo

Jumpsuit: Courtesy of LOVE. Shoes: Jessica Simpson. Socks: H&M. Bag: Thrift (DIY studded). Shades: Ray Ban. Lipstick: Make up Forever <--- Looks like a dark fuschia in real life
Michael and I ended up at an off the road seafood shack & bar in Long Island yesterday.
It was ooooo about 85-ish? It felt an indian summer, so I wore this jumpsuit with a tribal/navajo design. The material is a like a loose drapey jersey. Now if I could only find a giant wool poncho like it too....anyone seen any? If not I'll keep checking thrift shops.
You know how much I love the tan JS Dany platforms. You've seen me in them (here) and (here), so I jumped at getting the black for Autumn. Found them here last week.
***
I contacted the winner of the leopard H&M dress giveaway and haven't heard back from them. I'll give them a few days and if I don't hear back, I'll offer it to someone else from my Google Reader followers ;-)

i love my tan JS platforms, but i was originally dying for the black ones! they just look sexy and great for fall. maybe i'll be able to find a pair in my size :)

  49. Ife - well I've not heard back from them so far!!

Anguillagrl - thx and you live in a nice area.

Caylee - thx! I'm semi addicted to fuschia hot pink lipstick now. I've sprouted a collection now on my dresser.

Thx for the poncho recs. I'm going to hold out for something much thicker which I tend to only get via consignment or vintage. Anything out there currently especially in shops, is made so much thinner which does nothing for you when it reeeeeally gets cold :-/

  50. YES! I just bought a wool Navajo Wrap from a Canadian store - Aritzia. They only have a couple seemingly random locations in the US.
    http://aritzia.com/fashion/blazers-and-jackets/navajo-wrap-jacket
you can't order online :( but perhaps call a store because they may be able to ship to you if you order over the phone?
the wrap is $225 and is one size fits all, comes with the pictured belt and is FABULOUS
I got mine in Vancouver - their # is 1.604.684.3251
    good luck on your hunt!

  51. I don't know if this is allowed but... a friend bought me a pair of size 9 black DANY's & they are just a pinch too big so I'm selling them on eBay if anyone's interested:

I swear, they're leaps and bounds cheaper than what everyone is asking for them!
