Dresses: H&M.
Two very different dresses that I bought.
The first is that quintessential vintage billowy maxi I've never quite found and this has all the elements. Floor length, low v-neck front with a teeny row of buttons. All in a transparent fabric. Cinched with a vintage belt, I want to wear this right now.
The other is a body con with ultra long skinny sleeves. The graphics remind me of Givenchy's tribal black and white print for S/S 2010 and a diluted monotone version of McQueen's reptilian graphics from the same season. Caylee thx for flagging this one. Apart from the price, the best part is how comfortable it is (like a giant pair of support tights).

MINI MAN! I saw this on caylee's blog and totally fell in love with it. so freaking hot!!!!! buy it buy it.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh the maxi is divine!!!

ReplyDeletethe maxi is gorgeous! Beautiful print!
ReplyDeleteboth gorgeous. i could not pull off the mini but it's incredible on you. the maxi i have to check out!
ReplyDeleteYou get away with rocking both so effortlessly! So I've come to the conclusion that my H&M sucks. It never has any of the stuff that folks like yourself are blogging about.

ReplyDeleteThey look amazing! You can pull off anything. Is the maxi from the H&M Trend department?
ReplyDeleteIs that Pamela Love necklace that you're wearing?
ReplyDeleteLove the dresses! Second one is so 80s :)
I love that maxi dress for basically the same reasons as you! And I love the idea of a body hugging mini with long sleeves, but I could NEVER pull off that pattern aha. You look stunning in both

ReplyDeleteLove both of them, but I slightly prefer the mini dress ;o)
ReplyDeleteLovely buys, I especially love the maxi dress.

Which H&M did you go to for these dresses? I really like them both but the second would look entirely too slutty on my figure.
ReplyDeletederherzen.blogspot.com
Queen of Hearts - 59th and Lexington. They are both upstairs near the back close ish to the changing rooms.
ReplyDeleteHautepursuit - I did I did!
Michelle Elaine - go back and ask them to tell you where the DIVIDED section is with the black label inside the clothes. THat's where these are from.
Jeane Ange - at least go try it on and see if you like it in real life?
Vanja - no its by fashionologie (website). I've linked their site below on earlier posts.
Both look great on you!

I wish the stuff in all H&M's are consistent! I'm in love with that maxi, but I doubt it's in any of the stores in LA. Love the unique look of it.

i have the second dress! It's totally McQueen...such a showstopper for a small price.
ReplyDeletewww.citizette.com
It would be no hard shakes to wear either because both are sensational...
ReplyDeleteSaying that, I marginally favour the maxi as it would better hide my 'creme brulee and roast potato' love handles... ;0)
love both of them! They both look really good on you.
ReplyDeleteboth very cute, but LOVE the maxi dress. perfect.
ReplyDeleteI BOUGHT THAT MAXI DRESS!!!! I got it from the H&M in New York about four days ago. I love it so much!
ReplyDeleteLizzy - dress twins! agree with what you said.
ReplyDeleteHannah - me too. I'm sure you'll wear it alot.
Style Souk - OMG lolol!!!
thanks for the shoutout!
ReplyDeletelove both dresses, but the mini especially, of course! seriously, it looks so much better on your body; with my "love handles", i don't have that smooth hourglass shape that you have. oh well, i still cannot wait to wear mini out all this summer! and yes, the spandexy-fabric is to die for.
Caylee -my pleasure and the dress looks just as good on you too. We have different shapes but trust me you are the one that made me want it because of how great it looks on you!
ReplyDeleteSpandexy - ha! good word for it.
LOVE that mini!
ReplyDeletelove that maxi dress, the mini I don't really like! to futuristic for my style! hugs
ReplyDeletesissi
I love the print on both! The maxi is relaxed and summery while the mini is sexy and great for keeping warm (those spandex-y arms get hot!) while still showing off your legs.
ReplyDeleteOOh I tried on the bodycon dress last week, thought the exact same thing about the McQueen style print!
