in the changing room - which one?

Dress: H&M Garden Collection. Boots: Vintage Fryes
Bought both but still not sure which to return. (If you follow me on twitter here you already know about these pictures from yesterday - plus other updates I do on there).
I like the soft cream/ivory one (wearing my old caramel boots made it even more appealing), but the red... (Sod the fact that it's the colour associated with H&M's Garden Collection?).
Help! Which colour?
ps. the red one is a true lipstick red. No orange.
(Daria, as promised you'll get to keep the one that I don't).

  1. Aside from the obvious *both" answer, the red speaks to me ... :)

  2. I think you'll wear the cream more often and for longer. The red is still fierce but the cream.... Oh the cream. Sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  3. i love them both!! i would say the ivory colored one though, ;)

    ReplyDelete
  4. One's red and one's orangey red (lol - I know that's the lighting).

I'd go with the cream...it would be as recognizable on the street (it bothers me when I'm wearing the same thing as everyone else) and I think it's more versatile for summer :)

    ReplyDelete
  5. the cream! it looks so good - it can be dressed up or down :)
the red is lovely and vibrant though but less versatile

  6. i love the white.
    they both gorgeous though.

  7. The red one is more spectacular but you are more spectacular wearing the cream one:) It would be good choice!

red looks good on a dark skin. But i would go for the cream one.

  9. Love them both. If you have to return one maybe the ivory bcs it could maybe be a bit 'short wedding dress'.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The red is so lovely on you! He suits you lovely! If I had to choose, pick the red-one!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think you can switch up the cream one a little bit more than the red, so i say stick with the cream

  14. one more vote for the ivory :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Definitely the white. The red is festive and beautiful, but the white goes with your skin tone more. And it's much more spring. I love both, but I personally would get white.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I say cream all the way. (: You can wear it in more ways than the red, and the cream goes with everything.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I say red because it looks great on you , yet its a color we never really see you in. :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Return the white one, definitely.Red looks amazing on you!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I love the white one. Red does look gorge but everyone and their mother going to have that. The white looks great against your skin tone

  25. I cannot wait to check out the Garden collection. xx

    ReplyDelete
  26. I vote for the ivory one : )

    ReplyDelete
  27. keep both, like i did! they're cheap enough to justify having both. wore the ivory one last night, in fact!

  28. The ivory really looks beautiful on you.

  32. They both look great on you obviously, but the cream/ivory color looks better against your skin than the red. Keep the ivory one =) xo

  33. RED. RED. RED.

1.it seems to be a colour we don't see you in much, so its good to have that one pop of colour that stands out a bit more from your tried and true colours.

2.it's a dream with your skin tone and the boots.

    3. Could be worn casual as pictured with the boots, or girlied up a bit with more colour on the lips and heels.

Argh, RED! lol. end of discussion lol. The white looks just like *shrug*, something we'd always/expect to see you in

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ivory. The Rosettes for the skirt are detail enough, you don't need your dress to be flashy red too! The Ivory is an understated color which makes the dress pop! Pick the Ivory!

    http://emilypanda.wordpress.com

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think the cream is amazing! (Especially with those boots.) You can also see the detail better with the cream imo.

    ReplyDelete
  36. the ivory looks very elegant on you

  44. I love them both! Both are amazing, but I think that the cream one is absolutely amazing!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I would say "both" in a heart bit, but if u must then the ivory. It is closer to the new palette of nudes after all...

    ReplyDelete
  46. i love them both, but if i had to pick the color for i think i would choose the white - it looks stunning against your skin, very beautiful. red is my favourite color, so if i was choosing for myself i guess i would choose the red, but i'm not sure they both look very lovely :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. If you decide to keep the red one..
you would make my graduation if you would like to sell me the other one? I have been trying to get the white dress in all sort of ways, but no success.. please help me, I'll pay the shipping and stuff, of course!
    Love Lovisa

    ReplyDelete
  48. I say both. But if I had to choose I say go with the cream. It looks gorgeous against your skin and rocks with the boots.

    ReplyDelete
  49. CREAM!!! no question (:

    ReplyDelete
  50. Karen,
Did you get a size 2 or 4?

    ReplyDelete
  51. while the cream one looks amazing on you, i think you should get the red one. it makes the dress more special, plus its something you can pull once in a while :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. I like the red one on you. It accentuates beautifully your skin tone .

    ReplyDelete
  53. the cream one is stunning on you!! Go with that one!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I would say the cream one. For some reason the red one just seems like a typical choice. Let us know what you pick!

    ReplyDelete
  55. They both look great, but I say the Ivory!

    www.poolovesboo.blogspot.com

    ReplyDelete
  56. keep them both - you know you want to! they both look great and can be styled in different ways. Plus, H&M - not going to break the bank. I think you might regret it if you take one back...

    ReplyDelete
  57. I personally like the cream on your skin. It looks phenomenal.

If you don't mind my asking, how much did it cost?

    ReplyDelete
  58. The red one! I love how it looks against your complexion. And I'm sure you have a ton of dresses, no need to get another because you may wear it more often: cream one. So get the red one!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Both colours look adorable on you - but I think red would be the option you wear more, but the ivory would be *the* dress to stand out in. Especially on your skin tone, with those boots...ahhh i want that dress!

    ReplyDelete
  60. The cream, I think it would go with more, you'll see less people in it and I just love it.

PS is anyone else getting the white/ red queen vibe from Alice in Wonderland? I almost feel like someone has painted half of the cream stock red ... just me?

    ReplyDelete
  61. both are divine, however the ivory gives me life. Go with ivory!

    ReplyDelete
  62. THE CREAM ONE! THE CREAM ONE! <33

    ReplyDelete
  63. Wooow, hard choice. I prefer the ivory one though, it looks more expensive.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Definitely the cream one! It goes better with your skin tone.

  65. the cream one!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I would choose the red for myself. However, the ivory makes your skin look amazing. I love the contrast.

    ReplyDelete
  67. CREAM!!! you can dress it up/dress it down, wear it grunge/posh.... blah blah - it looks fantabuloser on you :)

    magdaleneloves.blogspot.com

    ReplyDelete
  68. IVORY. looks so good with your skin tone, and it's a neutral so you can wear it with a lot more things (including a red leather jacket or red boots or red heels or red cardigan or something!!). but with the red, you might not have as many chances to wear it because it's such a bold color.

    dunno, that's just me!

    ReplyDelete
  69. For you, the Cream looks so much better! :) Just pops more. But i know what you mean about red being the main color.

  70. cream compliments your skintone so much better!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Ummm, clearly both look fabulous on you and provide different looks. If I absolutely had to pick, I'd go with the red because it just speaks out and can be gorgeous for dress-up but also bold on a summer day in the city..

  123. thx EVERYONE FOR THE VOTES!!!! I read them all as they were coming in.

Anon - i got 2 in the cream and 4 in red. Both fitted perfectly (weird H&M sizing!!).

For those who said to keep both, for me I have way too many clothes to want to have 2 of the same distinctive dress styles. Best (for me) to just enjoy one only in that one style only. Hope that makes sense. Plus I promised my gf Daria she could have the one that I let go ; )
