ReplyDeleteI store my shoes in boxes, where possible. Sometimes I buy things without boxes, so they get stored on top of closed boxes... it fills up the entire floor of the closet, with some overflow under the bed and along the wall. For shoes that migrate out of the bedroom, my husband kindly lines them up near a bookshelf so no one trips over them!

i should take better care of my shoes. i have so many that they start off organized in clear, plastic boxes, or in their original boxes, and then the shoes that no longer have boxes end up in a giant heap! It ends up being a mess in the am when I am rifling through shoes trying to find the matching pairs. oops!

ReplyDeleteI keep my shoes stored in their original boxes on shelves in my closet, my flats & sandals in a hanging shoe container in my closet, and for my current favorites I have a shoe fixture which both displays my most loved shoes & boots sans boxes on top and underneath provides additional storage for the rest of my shoes still in boxes. As you can probably tell, I am quite the little shoe addict hehe.

One huge box of shoes with heels (medium)
under the dressing: boots
and hanging on some mobile shelf: ballerinas and flats + very high heels
And all these are organised according to colours: black and brown shoes on the lower side, and lighter colours on the top!
Am reading my comment again... and i get the feeling that i sound like those ppl addicted to organising everything!
No, believe me... i'm not... I usually try to keep it that way... but it rarely stays as such!

Karen, I've been thinking about getting these Bebe wedges but I've had bad experiences with the comfort of Bebe shoes in the past so I've been holding back. ReplyDeleteI have stored mine on a bookcase, parts of my bedroom floor, and I keep some heels, but mainly flats hanging off my bedroom floor...
And I usually have a pair or two in my kitchen...
I think I organize mine via color; i.e., all the black ones together under one clothes rack & everything else under the other clothes rack. The sandals&converse are hanging up in a shoe rack. I could almost say I have too many shoes but I feel like that's really close to shoe blasphemy.

When I was in high school I use to have a gym teacher that would rock this look to death; spring, summer, fall even winter he was in socks and sandals!
