Trying on the Hudson lace up jeans in charcoal with a reversed crop top (wore it back to front) with my top hat and DIY studded combat boots.
Hudson model in zip back white skinnies. LOVED the Hudson sheer tanks. The double arm holes can be looped through the arms and worn on the shoulder converting the tank to cropped (versus long).

Hudson jeans recently invited me to preview their Summer 2010 collection and personally style any favourites.
I tried on a few and took pics in their baby boot cuts - a cropped casual style, their charcoal jeggings (felt like a second skin) and also their charcoal low rise lace ups. The latter are currently advertised by Georgia Jagger in the March issue of US Vogue.

Am I the only one who is not terribly impressed with this?
ReplyDeleteHudson is notorious for bandwagon jumping, so is Coach. All of the "top" bloggers have been gifted with a pair of their jeans (unless you are THE Top, Rumi, then you get J Brands instead) in their shameless attempt to use their numbers to sell their products. Hudson's sales have been lagging in a big way in the US since '08 so I'm not surprised by this extremely trendy move. What WOULD surprise me is if these companies would stop approaching the "celebrities" of blogging and perhaps approach the middle-class bloggers, those who actually do this blogging business because they enjoy it and not because of all the free things that they get, the photoshoots they are paid to do and the BE SEEN parties they attend. I'd be EVEN MORE IMPRESSED if the bloggers they selected WEREN'T a size Z E R O. What's the point of paying models and model bloggers when 99% of their followers don't look anything like them? They wouldn't be as famous if they did, right? I'm just sayin' y'all!!!!

ReplyDeleteThe Truthrialist - I'm sure there are those who blog in order to get freebies but that has never been the intention of my site. It was always driven by wanting to have a creative outlet. If the by product of that are the opportunities that have come along the way, whatever that may be, then so be it. Plus there are loads of bloggers who have had great opportunities, regardless of their size. Social media marketing has only just begun so everyone will see how it will pan out over time.
Those commenting on the tanks - I know I LOVE THEM. I think anything sheer is great.
