Jacket, skirt, lace dress: Forever 21. Thermals: Ski shop. Hat: H&M. Scarf: Love Quotes. Shades: Ray Ban. Bag Thrift (DIY studded). Boots: All Saints. Nail polish: Pixel Pretty by Sally Hansen.
God - it's f**king cold outside. The clothing unseen made what you do see possible to wear. I had on knit tights with thigh high socks on top plus a thin thermal vest + ski top under the lace dress.
It dawned on me after dressing, that I'm head to toe in Forever 21. Their lace mini dress, posted here before with a video (for those who haven't heard me speak) was layered today over their long skirt - worn here in the summer.
The fleece jacket was the most recent purchase a few weeks ago. I first posted wearing it with jeans and wedges here and as promised, I'm showing it zipped up which is how I wore it out (soon as these pics were taken I closed it up in 3 seconds flat). It's getting bloody cold in New York!
ps. the skirt is available now at Forever 21 here in cranberry and black. (I am wearing a small).

I adore that skirt on you! It is freezing here in Denver. xoxo

Oh, i LOVE that skirt on you. I own it in black, because I thought I'd try something different- and I've failed to wear it! I'm much shorter than you are (actually don't know how tall you are, but I assume I'm shorter than you) and I feel the skirt drowns me! But I'm stubborn so I bought it anyway. Any suggestions as to what a shorty like me could wear that skirt with?
ReplyDeleteYou look uber cool as always.
i love that skirt! looks so fun. i never go in forever 21 enough i got burned out on it after working there but i miss such great finds! but you've got the right idea. i should definitely layer more to get away with wearing the fun stuff.
ReplyDeletethat skirt looks great on you!

ReplyDeletei love the jacket! everytime i go into forever21 i get so overwhelmed, it helps to check out your blog and then their website to shop online :)
ReplyDeleteOmg.. I need that skirt. Now.. how tall are you? I guess it's a bit adjustable due to the construction of the waist but I'm 5'9" and I'm curious how long it can be on me.. I love how long it looks on you!
ReplyDeleteI love the pop that the bag adds! Your blog is wonderful

Yeah, how tall are you? I desperately wanted that skirt when you wore it with Converse before, but I'm 5'3" and may be swamped by the mall couture...
ReplyDeleteI saw that skirt in on a f21 mannequin but wasn't able to find it anywhere in the store! It looks fantastic on you and I must say, you styled it better then f21 merchandisers did.

Eugenia - If I was shorter I'd just wear it with platform wedges.
ReplyDeleteRoxana - wow.Thank you for saying that and for 'coming out' and commenting after reading here for a while ; )
Francheska - yes I do UNTIL YOU GET ONE damn it lol!!!!! wtf are you waiting for? ; )
Brandi & Yoshimi - 5ft 7. I'm wearing it with the All Saint fringe boots which are like wearing a pair of fryes or cowboy boots.
Cupcake Trash - I think if you wear platform wedge boots with it you'd be ok. That's what I would probably do.
Fashion Chalet - the broody look. I know what you mean ; )
Brandi - Yes the waist band is really tall (see the link to the first time I wore it). That part alone looks like a mini skirt LOL!! Its good though cuz you can pull the skirt down really low and just cover the top half with something tight and long.
Thanks everyone for the comments. I don't often see F21 come out with something this unusual (for them) and it's definitely worth getting.
My little sis works at F21, I am so going to ask her to get me that skirt. I love it.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and I am so excited that you update daily! I've seen you were this dress 3 different ways now, and I especially loved the way you wore it to that wedding. I finally ordered it from F21 a few weeks back and it barely covers my bum :(
ReplyDeleteHow do you now freak out about making that "skirt" free of dirt? haha. Love the bag.
ReplyDelete-meream
i love this look!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great set up you did with the pictures - the B&W pics to start, then BAM! out of the blue, a bright color picture and the sudden realization that the bag is bright RED when it was assumed (at least on my part) that it was black. Unexpected. Pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteskirt and leather jacket is to die for!
ReplyDeletevery nice !
