got leather

Mens' hoodie & faux fur vest: H&M. Leggings: American Apparel. Boots: Topshop. Bag: Thrift DIY studded. Dress worn as a top: East village boutique
At LONG LAST. The thigh highs came. They are Topshop's Britany boots in black leather.
The platform makes the heel height really wearable. I had them on all day at work (yes I can wear these at work. It's a casual dress code) and they were fine. I give them a 8/10. I deduct marks for them not being high up enough on my legs (and they slouch down) plus I'd love if the heel were thicker. Overall though, they are definite keepers. I must try them over jeans asap.
I finally got a longer version to my cropped faux vest bought last winter and posted about here (a few posts down). I wanted something that was more coat-like. Love the optional self tie belt so you can wear it loose and open.

  4. I LOVE THE BOOTS.
    I recently bought some over the knee boots, that's didn't quite make it over my knees (I have long legs), so now I'm in search for thigh high boots. I'll have to look into Topshop.

  13. Honestly, I'm not so crazy about the black Faux vest, but you look great w/ those boots though. I thought stilletos that high are too hard to walk but you're so used to those I bet. I prefer the thicker or wedges, too. I love all your other outfits, keep them coming.

    Hmm, the converter (feet to cm) doesn't really do his work but I'm think I'm a bit taller then you. I'm 176 cm. and got long legs too! I think I'm gonna buy the Aggie booties then, are they a bit comfortable? These last ones are higher than the Britany and I had the Topshop Amelie boots and these were so damn uncomfortable, had to sell them.. =(

    Mine are made of Nubuck, I love the 'leather' ones too only these are just 100% synthetic and the Nubuck ones are real leather! So the decision was very clear for me.. ;)

  30. So this has to be my favorite look of yours. I love the boots and I have been dying to get in a faux fur vest, but where I live it can be too much for the everyday eye. You just showed me how to rock it casually. And I love how you got it from H&M!!!! I have been drooling over a gray faux fur vest by Michael Kors that I saw in November Elle Fashion Spread. Anyways, absolutely lovely!

  33. Vanessa - I know!! no need to pay $$$$ when faux fur is all over the place really.

    Posh - THe Britnay 2 from what I've read, is the shorter one. The Britnay that I got is the slightly taller one. Its definitely comfortable. I wouldn't mine being even higher on the leg because of the long leg thing but I'm cool with it for now. Heck I could always have a cobbler add more leather to the top if I reeeeeally wanted?

  40. Anon - get your size. e.g i'm 10 so ordered the 10.5 so if you are an 8 get the 8.5 etc. they fit fine like that.
