Rad by Rad Hourani - The collection (Source: Jak & Jill)
LOVE HER!! Elizabeth Ammerman. The hair, the clothes, everything.

I'm determined to find an earring equivalent. Any suggestions?

Her Gareth Pugh boots....
Another favourite dresser. Beautiful face and jet black hair and kohl rimmed eyes.
Her Givenchy boots....
The zipper pull bracelet that he made and gave to her.... She LOVED IT!

Kate and me (Good God - I look like something the cat dragged in)...
The famous Christopher Kane gorilla print. Now available in a T shirt...

I can't get enough of stacked arm jewellery....

Shredded DIY Tshirt.....

Sonny Groo. Editor in Chief of Myrkomag....(a regular on Jak & Jill)
Me: American Apparel one shoulder dress. Emma Cook Boots. Alexander Wang Brenda Bag.
Sorry for not posting yesterday. After rushing home I had exactly 15 minutes to change, slap on make up (which slid off my face within hours anyway so why did I even bother), and head to the Soho Grand Hotel for a fashion industry event showcasing the latest collection for Rad by Rad Hourani.
The clothes felt similar to the overall direction so many designers are taking; deconstructed, industrial, androgynous, slashed features.
I was in full blogger mode, snapping pictures with the Nikon (I took the pictures this time for a change). I met up with my friend Tay Trong, a fashion stylist, who chatted with Kate Lanphear, the style icon Editor of Elle magazine herself. She looks even more stunning in person and is super sweet to talk to. Tay gave her his bracelet which she adored (when leaving she sought us out to personally repeat how much she loved it).
Rock it out Kate. It's screams you.

the rad black and white boots are ACNE!
ReplyDeletethe boots are gareth pugh
ReplyDelete=]
Elizabeth Ammerman! =) She's my new favorite. Her blog: http://obsessivewardrobechangedisorder.blogspot.com
ReplyDeletexo!
The boots are gareth pugh and the gorilla shirt is christopher kane
ReplyDeleteI think that gorilla shirt is Christopher Kane and not Alexander Wang right? I love the jacket the girl is wearing in the first picture, second from the right :)
ReplyDeletesuch an amazing post.
ReplyDeletekate lanphear is my absolute favorite and it's so awesome you got to meet her!

Can we trade lives, just for a week? :)
ReplyDeleteohmyGod someone please hooooold me now!
ReplyDeleteThe ear cuff should be a fairly easy DYI...I trust that you out of all people can handle it =)
ReplyDeleteThe gorilla shirt is reminiscent of Christopher Kane...I have a such love/hate relationship with the print, but I would def wear it given the chance.
NICE meeting kate lanphear. she's gorgeous and her style is always en pointe. loooove herrrr
ReplyDeleteOMG wtf was i thinking in calling THE MOST FAMOUS animal print Wang? LOL!!! Jesus I need a drink or something.
ReplyDeleteIt's corrected.
I've seen that girl with the Givenchy boots before in the subway - she's like a shorter Irina Lazareanu. Always looks amazing, I'm so curious who she is.
ReplyDelete"i look like something the cat dragged in", well definitely not, but this will be a good quote when i take my first look in the bathroom mirror tomorrow morning. ohhkay, i look like something the cat dragged in. btw it´s nice having discovered your blog
ReplyDeleteThe earring looks quite DIY-able...
ReplyDeleteHere is something similar:

Do you think someone with long hair can pull it off ? I mean, it wouldn't be very visible... But I'd love to wear something like that !
Oh wait, it IS DIY !
ReplyDeleteShe writes about it here:
http://obsessivewardrobechangedisorder.blogspot.com/2009/06/armor-pris-ko-and-gareth.html
"I immediately went home and fashioned an earring that was a foot long of chains. I added hair because I had some leftover weave from a photo shoot (randomly, and luckily) and I wore it this way for a week or so. Only recently did I realize that by wrapping it around my ear I could eliminate the pain of getting it caught on things and not realizing it.
Thanks Eternal ; )
ReplyDeleteStraight hair may show it off a bit easier but the best is to have the hair off your face really to really make it the statement - know what I mean?
I love the shot of Kate's bracelets, hot!!

About the earring...looks totally like you could diy it. If not you could most likely email the glamourai blogger ask her to do it for a small fee. Looks like something she could make.
Great party, stylish people, cool clothes, and fantastic pics.
