margi kent - the rock n roll doctor

DSC_0093.NEF This black ensemble has all the elements I crave: narrow but long sleeves , cut out hole & bonus points for the scarf. DSC_0105 The 'Foil' Dress
DSC_0065 The 'Fierce' Dress: Metallic detail trimming a fitted wool looking dress. DSC_0109.NEF Black on black: shredded style top and sparkling mini. I want this. DSC_0057 I'm still obssessed with these ruched black skinnies. DSC_0125.NEF One of the luxe evening dresses. This had a bound lace back. DSC_0020 Backstage: The big shoulder jacket is EVERYwhere, so it's cool to see a designer doing the reverse: A skin baring cut out. DSC_0031 Back stage: One of the models relaxing. I should have asked where did she get that damn jacket. collagemetwice Chilling outside after the show.
Sorry for the graininess. I should have adjusted the camera. I had one of those 'I forgot about these' moments when I pulled on these Dolce Vita boots, purchased about 3 years ago. One of the only knee highs tall enough to REALLY go past my knee.
After being invited to attend last night's first ever Fall 09 fashion show for celebrity stylist Margi Kent, I understand why GQ magazine nicknamed her "the rock and roll doctor." So many edged out distressed pieces mixed in with classic staples. The collection ranged from day to evening to bridal. Basically a woman's life. There were dramatic floor sweeping gowns in rich jewel tones, but the short body con pieces (and the black ruched skinnies) had my name written all over them. Thanks Chelsea and Lauren for a great night.
